Bus/Public Transport
For those who do not wish to break a sweat before reaching the city or those who only have one agenda; to see the beautiful ruins of the forgotten city, there is public transport that takes you close to the city. The journey to Machu Picchu by bus will take approximately thirty minutes.
Train
Likewise, you can catch a train from Cuzco’s station; Poroy, which will get you to Aguas Calientes, the closest town Machu Picchu. Since there is only one train in operation, it is advisable to book early. With the train, the journey to Machu Picchu will take you approximately two and a half hours.
